Filipe Terzi (1520 - 1597)
Italian architect and military engineer, said to be a native of Bologna, was working in Lisbon in 1577. Appointed, in 1584, as works master of the Convent of Christ in Tomar he would be commissioned by Queen Catherine, widow of King John III, to remodel the Main Cloister.
Later, in 1587, he takes on directing the works of the Convent´s Aqueduct sponsored by Philip II of Spain (King Philip I of Portugal).
